Custom Enclosures for Medical Carts and Workstations
ZRD develops and manufactures custom housings for mobile medical carts, bedside workstations and equipment trolleys. We coordinate the enclosure with the frame, display, controls, battery or electronics, cable routing, service access and the way the equipment is moved and used.
edical Cart and Workstation Applications
A mobile enclosure has to work with the frame, wheels, handles, displays and internal equipment at the same time. We review each housing around the actual workflow and interface requirements.

Mobile Diagnostic Carts
Custom housings for diagnostic systems that need a stable equipment platform, visible display, controlled openings and protected electronics while moving between locations.

Bedside Workstations
Panel sets and equipment housings for bedside workstations with monitor arms, keyboard or control areas, power modules and serviceable internal compartments.

Treatment and Therapy Carts
Mobile equipment shells for treatment, therapy or rehabilitation systems that require coordinated covers, controls, functional openings and a consistent finished appearance.

Eye and Vision Equipment Trolleys
Vertical housings developed around optical or vision equipment, displays, internal supports, handles and the movement requirements of a trolley format.

Mobile Monitoring Equipment
Enclosures for mobile monitoring and measurement equipment with sensor interfaces, displays, battery or electronics compartments and planned cable routing.

Custom Clinical Workstations
Integrated exterior panels for clinical workstations and equipment supports when the enclosure, frame, accessories and user-facing surfaces need one coordinated design.
Choosing a Manufacturing Route for a Medical Cart Housing
The route depends on the cart size, panel geometry, quantity, design maturity, visible finish and the internal structure that the housing must fit. Final feasibility and quotation require drawing review.

CNC Plastic Prototype
Useful for checking the overall cart appearance, display and control openings, frame fit, panel breaks and service access while the design is still changing.
Rapid Prototyping ↗

Vacuum-Formed Panel Sets
May be evaluated for larger curved or formed panels and low-to-medium volume projects where panel size and tooling investment need to be balanced.
Vacuum Forming ↗

Injection-Molded Components
May be evaluated for stable, repeat-production components when geometry, visible surfaces, quantity and tooling assumptions have been approved.
Tooling and Injection Molding ↗

Mixed Enclosure and Frame System
A complete cart may combine formed or molded panels, CNC-trimmed openings, metal frame elements, inserts, hardware, finishing and agreed assembly.
CNC Trimming and Precision Machining ↗Material selection should consider stiffness, weight, panel size, processing method, visible finish, operating environment and the customer's cleaning or chemical exposure requirements. A material should not be presented as suitable for every cart or workstation application without project-specific review.
